Voice Clinic Information

 

Next Voice Clinic: Thursday, March 5, 2026 - afternoon

Dr. Caroline Jeffery, Ear, Nose, Throat Specialist (ENT), and Sable Chan, Speech-Language Pathologist (S-LP), felt there was an increasing need for collaborative ENT/S-LP voice services for singers and professional voice users in Alberta.

As a result, they offered a one day to trial Voice Clinic in November 2025. There were so many inquiries that they expanded the Voice Clinic to two days.

Throughout this year, they will continue to offer Voice Clinic dates where singers and professional voice users can book a joint assessment with the ENT and S-LP. Afterwards, they will reevaluate the demand of these collaborative services. They are seeking patients who wish to address current voice-related challenges in their singing or establish a baseline of their vocal health as a professional performer.

During the 45 min appointment, patients would receive:

  • ENT consult

  • ENT scope

  • SLP assessment

  • Trial SLP voice training and techniques

Cost:

  • ENT visit is covered by the patient’s Alberta Health Care Number

  • $180 for S-LP service (Some insurance plans cover “speech therapy” services. This fee would be eligible for Health Spending Accounts and are a tax deductive expense for artists).

Not eligible:

  • Patients who already been scoped by another ENT within the past year.

  • Patients who are already working with another S-LP on their voice.

  • Unit 206, 10957-124 Street. Street parking is available.
